  • Take the Charging cable that you received with the Fitbit tracker and try to plug it into your laptop, PC or any other adapter or UL certified wall charger. (Make note of the specifications of I/P and O/P current and total wattage.)
  • Take the remaining end of the charging cable and insert it on the back of the tracker in the charging port. Make sure that the entire assembly is locked securely.
  • If the Fitbit Tracker vibrates and you are able to see a battery icon on the tracker’s display screen after the above-mentioned steps are completed. The connection is secure and the Fitbit should start charging.

  • You might have already noticed that the Fitbit tracker charging cable comes with a button on it. The button is located on the end of the charging cable away from the Fitbit tracker.
  • You are to press that button 3 times. Pause for a moment between the presses. The pauses are to be very brief.

  • Take the Charging cable that you received with the Fitbit tracker and try to plug it into your laptop, PC or any other adapter or UL certified wall charger. (Make note of the specifications of I/P and O/P current and total wattage.)
  • Take the remaining end of the charging cable and attach it on the back of the tracker. The attachment is magnetic as you can clearly feel. Make sure that the entire assembly is locked securely.
  • If the Fitbit Tracker vibrates and you are able to see a battery icon on the tracker’s display screen after the above-mentioned steps are completed. The connection is secure and the Fitbit should start charging.
  • You might have already noticed that the Fitbit tracker has just one button on it.
  • You are to press and hold that button for a total of 5 seconds. Only release the button after you see the smile icon.
  • If you see the Smile icon on the tracker and the tracker vibrates, the Restart Fitbit Tracker has been successful.

How to Restart your Blaze, Ionic, & Versa Series Trackers?
  • For Fitbit Versa and Fitbit Ionic, press and hold the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen.
  • For Fitbit Versa Lite Edition and Fitbit Versa 2, hold the back button for 10 seconds.
  • Let go of the buttons.
  • This should be enough to Restart Fitbit Tracker. However, if even this does not help, you can always contact the customer care.

4. Charge 2 and Charge 3

If you can’t sync Fitbit Charge 3, or if you have trouble with connected GPS or tracking your stats, you can Restart Fitbit Tracker from your wrist itself.

From the clock face, swipe to Settings and tap Reboot Device.

If your tracker is still unresponsive, follow the restart instructions below.

  • Take the Charging cable that you received with the Fitbit tracker and try to plug it into your laptop, PC or any other adapter or UL certified wall charger. (Make note of the specifications of I/P and O/P current and total wattage.)
  • Take the other end of the charging cable and insert it on the back of the tracker in the charging port. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable.
  • If the Fitbit Tracker vibrates and you are able to see a battery icon on the tracker’s display screen after the above-mentioned steps are completed. The connection is secure and the Fitbit should start charging.
  • You might have already noticed that the Fitbit tracker charging cable comes with a button on it. The button is located on the end of the charging cable away from the Fitbit tracker.
  • You are to press and hold the button to Restart Fitbit Tracker.
  • For Charge 2—press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  • For Charge 3—press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

  • Take the Charging cable that you received with the Fitbit tracker and try to plug it into your laptop, PC or any other adapter or UL certified wall charger. (Make note of the specifications of I/P and O/P current and total wattage.)
  • Your Flex 2 has a pebble-like device on it as you must know. Remove the pebble from the wristband and press it into the compartment on the charging cable. The pins on the charging cable must align with the corresponding pins on the back of the pebble to lock securely in place.

  • If the pebble vibrates and you are able to see the indicator lights on the wristband blinking after the above-mentioned steps are completed. The connection is secure and the Fitbit should start charging.
  • The charging cable has a button below the tracker slot. Find it and follow the instructions henceforth.
  • Press it three times within five seconds. The tracker vibrates each time you press the button. A few seconds after the third press, all the lights will flash simultaneously. This means the pebble has restarted. If you miss the light flash but notice the pebble has resumed charging, that too is confirmation that the Restart Fitbit Tracker was successful.
  • Remove the pebble from the charging cable and insert it back into the wristband.

  • Take the Charging cable that you received with the Fitness trackers and try to plug it into your laptop, PC or any other adapter or UL certified wall charger. (Make note of the specifications of I/P and O/P current and total wattage.)
  • Take the remaining end of the charging cable and attach it to the tracker. Make sure that the entire assembly is locked securely. The gold contacts of your tracker and your charger should align perfectly.
  • You might have already noticed that the Fitbit tracker has just one button on it.
  • You are to press and hold that button for a total of 10 – 12 seconds.
  • Now remove your tracker from the charging cable and press the button again till the screen turns up.

7. Zip

  • Open the battery door using the battery door tool and remove the battery.
  • Wait 10 seconds.
  • Place the battery back into the tracker with the “+” side facing up, and close the door.
  • Your Fitbit Zip is now restarted. You will see your tracker’s version number, followed by a series of Fitbit Smilies. When you tap your tracker, it should work normally.

8. Charge and Charge HR

  • Take the Charging cable that you received with the Fitbit tracker and try to plug it into your laptop. PC or any other adapter or UL certified wall charger. (Make note of the specifications of I/P and O/P current and total wattage.)
  • Take the remaining end of the charging cable and attach it to the tracker. Make sure that the entire assembly is locked securely.
  • You are to press and hold the button for a total of 10 – 12 seconds. Once you see the screen starting to turn up release the button.
  • You would see the Fitbit icon along with your version number. (For e.g. V40)
  • Now remove your tracker from the charging cable.

9. Flex

  • Take the Charging cable that you received with the Fitbit tracker and try to plug it into your laptop. PC or any other adapter or UL certified wall charger. (Make note of the specifications of I/P and O/P current and total wattage.)
  • Your Flex 2 has a pebble-like device on it as you must know. Remove the pebble from the wristband and press it into the compartment on the charging cable. The pins on the charging cable must align with the corresponding pins on the back of the pebble to lock securely in place.
  • Insert a paperclip into the small pinhole on the back of the charger.

Flex

  • Keep the pinhole pressed for 4 seconds or more. (around 3 to 4)

10. Surge

  • Press and hold the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) on your Fitbit Surge for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim.
  • Let go of the buttons.
  • After your screen turns completely off, wait 10 seconds and press the Home button to turn your Surge back on.
